Billy Bishop and the War in the Air
social progress, +2 because Billy Bishop was one of Canada's only fighter pilots, he managed to survive odds and tell his story about him crossing into enemy lines and shooting down 3 German aircraft, this progresses because he can now convince that fighter pilots are needed and have to help out in the war even though their life span is only a few weeks but some can survive. -

cultural and social decline, -1 because the French soldiers did not feel loyal to Canada or the British, this mean that they did not try their hardest, they also did not speak any English and because of that over 1000 soldiers were killed, this all happened in 1916 -

economical change, +1 because the government changed everything economically, they put taxes on objects to things that didn’t have them before, they did this because they could not afford to support the war, this is a +1 and not +2 because they are taking from the citizens but it is for a good reason which provides progress to Canada, just like us we have a high tax which gives us free medical care -
Jeremiah Jones and other Black Canadian Soldiers
cultural progress, +2 because of what he did along with the other black soldiers, he was one of 16 black soldiers to enter the battlefield and showed what he could do, when his battalion was under fire from a machine gun nest he volunteered to go and terminate it, which he did by running and throwing grenade into the nest blowing them up, this proved that black soldiers had might in them and Canada saw this and allowed them to fight in the war -

political change, -2 because of the people were treated during the time of the war, these were the people with families who had a background of a enemy country, since they could not be trusted for no reason they were sent to prison of war camps and were put in horrible conditions. They also took way votes from these people which makes it political change -
Women on the home front
political change, -1 because of the way that the women were working. Once the men left for war the women took up their spots and other men were given free time, the demand for vote was increased which is a political change, voting relates to the government which makes it political, this caused a lack in votes -

Social decline, -1 because of what happened with the light up cross, even though they did help a lot of people throughout the war they made a very poor decision of lighting up the cross at night tie so soldiers could see them, but the problem was that they were giving off their position to the Germans, and they took advantage of that blew the hospital up -

social progress, +2 because of the way that these artists gave a perspective of how war actually was, people thought that war was such a bad thing and that all there was, was death but because of these war artists people can finally understand what the experience of war is like
