    The destructive explosion on December 6,1917, happened when a Norwegian steamship collided with the Mont Blanc. The Mont Blanc was carrying 2925 metric tons of explosives. The result of the explosion had nearly 2000 people dead and around 9000 injured. This was the biggest explosion in history at the time, before nuclear bombs existed.

    Woman were given the right to full Suffrage in 1918 and by 1922 all provinces except Quebec had given all woman full Suffrage. Quebec gave Suffrage to woman last in 1940. This was obviously amazing for the woman of Canada given more rights, and starting to have a voice.
