    The octagon TV
    The modern television's earliest ancestor was the Octagon, made by General Electric in 1928. It used a mechanical, rotating disc technology to display images on its 3-inch screen. While it was never mass-produced, it played what is widely considered the world's first television drama: “The Queen's Messenger.”
  • The baird TV

    On January 26, 1926, John Logie Baird, a Scottish inventor, gives the first public demonstration of a true television system in London, launching a revolution in communication and entertainment.
  • The Marconi TV

    Television receiver of the 1937-38 period, used for reception of BBC high definition TV from Alexandra Palace, North London. Unit is identical to model H.M.V. 904. Designed to operate at 240 volts, 50 cycles AC. Set was used during 1939 until outbreak of WWII, overhauled at end of war and used until 1953.
  • The RCA 630-TS TV

    RCA announced the 630-TS in October, 1946, at a price of $350, along with the seven inch model 621TS. In November both sets were advertised for sale in five cities. Over the next ten years, hundreds of thousands of these sets were sold. The chassis was sold to other manufacturers, who built their own cabinets.

    On June 9th, 2010 Panasonic made the first ever 3D Television set. This TV is really big it is about 152 inches (390 centimeters). It costs $576,000, and that's the cheapest one. You would have to wear special 3D glasses, if you don't want to hurt your eyes.

    Introduced by Samsung and LG. The curved screen is supposed the give the perfect viewing angle at any spot. It's over a hundred times faster than LED TVs, and has incredibly consistent contrast and doesn't distort colors. It also includes a new smart remote with gesture and voice control. Basically, the curved TV is supposed to be better in every way.
