    The proclamation of 1763 is when the British made a rule that the colonists could not cross over the Appalachian mt. But the colonists broke the rule anyway, and this caused the British to punish the colonies and they were not happy.

    The Boston massacre happened when someone from the crowd shouted "fire" and the colonists were told not to fire unless fired upon. The British were told not to fire, but someone did. And some people were killed and injured and this started the war. This was also know as the "Shot heard around the world" because everyone heard and knew about it

    The Tea Act was used to tax the colonists basic needs. So everything the colonists used was being taxed and the colonists stopped buying it.

    The Intolerable Acts were 4 laws made by the British. Quartering Act, which is where any British soldier can enter a colonist's home at any given time. That family has to feed the soldier. Boston Port Act, which was used so the colonists had to stop trade with everyone. They only used British goods.Massachusetts Government Act, which punishes the Massachusetts Government from the Boston Tea Party. The administration of Justice Act was used to ensure a fair trial for anybody who was charged.

    The Declaration of Independence is a document that has rules and ideas for all the 13 colonies, and how to run the government. The second continental congress met together and published it at the Pennsylvania State House.

    These battles are important because they mark the start of the American Revolution war. The British were ordered to go capture Lexington. And the colonies were ready to fight and Concord. But the British ended up retreating and it was the colonists first win in the war.

    Bunker Hill was a major battle, The colonists had run out of ammunition and had to retreat, which made them lose the battle. The colonists had the confidence that they could win the next battle.

    On Christmas, the Green Moutain Boys capture Fort Ticondergoa and stole all there food at dawn. And the British were not expecting this so they gave it up right away with out firing

    This was when Geroge Washington crossed the Delaware and they got their first American win with Geroge Washington as their leader.

    This was a very big change for both soldiers fighting in the war. The colonists fought how the British did, instead of ambushing and retreating they fought lined up. And after the colonists won they felt good because they could beat the British anyway they fought. Also after this battle is when the French join the colonist and help them fight.

    The Continental Army was trained here for the whole winter, many soldiers wanted to quit after the training. This was very hard on the soldiers because they were running out of food, and clothing and didn't even have good "houses" to live in.

    The war in the South was where the colonists tried to get the Southern people to believe in them and that Britain was not good. So they let the British steal all the stuff in houses in the south to make them look like bad people. This made the people in the South fight with the colonists instead of British

    This was the last battle of the war. The french navy defeated the British navy before they could get to land. And the french helped the colonist fight the war. Also, many British soldiers died so they started using the slaves to fight. And if the British won the slaves would be free but the British ended up losing. They waved the white flag to tell the colonist they surrender and they signed the Treaty of Paris.
