Proclamation of 1763
The proclamation is a line that is made so no colonist can settle beyond west of the Appalachian Mountains. It was declared by the British crown. This was made to conciliate the Indians. -
Sugar Act
This act was created to make colonists pay taxes and for them to stop smuggling. The Sugar Act wasn't a success. In fact this act made the situation worse. Later on we will have the American Revolution. -
StampAct
This acted made colonist purchase certain types of paper, license, and newspaper. Which all these items had tax on them that the colonist needs to pay. The tax was to pay for the British military troops. -
Repeal of Stamp Act
Parliament voted against the stamp act on the 18th of march in 1766. It was voted under repeal before it even went into effect. On the same exact day parliament passed the Declaratory Act. -
Boston Massacre
On the date of March 5, 1770 there was a riot between the Boston colonists and British troops. This mob killed several people. It only happened because guard were taunted and many died in the snow. -
Boston Tea Party
Was a passed Tea Act to help struggling English Tea Companies. During the Tea Party "Indians" dumped tones of Tea in the Boston Harbor. This led to the sparking of the American Revolution. -
Intolerable Act
Parliament punished the colonists by closing the harbor in this act. British were allowed to invade into people homes. Also Boston was under limited military forces. -
Battle of Trenton
On Christmas Day, George Washington's army crossed Delaware. In the course of 10 days they battled for their lives and won. Tons is people being captured. -
Battle of Princeton
This battles started by Washington escaping from one enemy to attack at Princeton. Washington and his soldiers used their intelligence to circle their enemy and move on with their plan. -
Battle of Yorktown
The last battle of the American Revolution. The British is defeated by the American and the French forces. Which means they lost the American Revolution. -
Treaty Of Paris.
This doc. was signed to clarify that the American Revolution is over. America is now Independent. American extends farther out then before. From the Atlantic to the Mississippi River.
