Sir Wilfrid Laurie Party was Liberal. Sir Wilfrid Laurier was the Prime Minister of Canada from July 11 of 1896, to October 6 of 1911. While in office, he welcomed the Yukon Territory, Alberta and Saskatchewan into Confederation, he then expanded the Canadian National Railway and led Canadian participation in the South African War from 1899 to 1902.
