The U.S. declares war on Britian because of issues over borders, treade, freedom of the seas, and the rights of neutrals. The 18th state to enter the Union is Louisiana. -
CREEK WAR ENDS
The war ends with defeat by U.S. troops. Andrew Jackson defeats the British od New Orleans. -
FIRST SEMINOLE WAR
The war began when attacks were placed on Florida and Georgia. The New York Stock Exchange is established and the 20th state to enter the Union is Mississippi. -
FOURTH CENSUS
The population of the U.S. goes to 10 million. Only six percent of Americnas live in cities. -
MISSOURI COMPROMISE
The compromise is passed by Congress, the compromise allows Missouri as a slave state. The 23rd state to enter Union is Maine. -
MONROE DOCTRINE
Westrern Hemisphere warns Europe to not interfere. Production of Cotton mills began in Lowell, Massachusetts. -
