This Supreme Court case gave the federal government the ability to pass laws not expressly listed in the constitution. This case gave the government more power. -
Missouri Compromise
Missouri and Maine were able to join the United States as a slave state and a free state. Missouri was a slave state and Maine was a free state. This allowed the number of free and slave states to stay even. It also created a line that determined where slavery would be allowed and where it would not be. -

This allowed white men to vote for all of their government representatives. All of the states did not do this at once and the transition lasted from 1820 to 1830. -

The bank closed when it’s charter was allowed to expire. Andrew Jackson was president at the time and he did not like the bank. Jackson is considered responsible for the bank closing.
