Kennedy suffered the humiliation of financing and backing the disastrous scheme. Americans questioned Kennedy's leadership, both for his refusal to provide air support for the invading force and for allowing the invasion to take place at all. -
Alliance For Progress
Kennedy created this program, it was designed to provide financial assistance and social welfare to Cuba and its neighbors because of the humiliation he suffered back at the Bay of Pigs. This program later failed when Latin countries refused to adopt the reforms necessary to significantly reduce poverty. -

With the Soviet construction of the Berllin Wall, which divided Berlin into two sides, east and west, John F. Kennedy paid a visit to change the Soviet's minds, to stop the construction, and offer hope to the people of the divided city. -
Cuban Missile Crisis
For thirteen days, people's lifes in the United States were threatened and were nearly at the brink of nuclear war. The US dicovered that the Soviets were building secret nuclear missile sites in Cuba. So the Soviets and Kennedy made out a proposal to remove the missiles, if the US promised to refrain from any future Cuban invasions. -
John F. Kennedy is Assasinated
Kennedy had adopted Eisenhower's policy of the "domino effect" in hopes to limit the involvement in war and to withdraw the troops from Soth Vietnam by the end of 1965. But, unfortunately he was assasinated before he could make this happen.
