The Bay Of Pigs is related to americas possition on comunism because when Fidel Castro came to power, he quickly aligned himself with soviet communists, much to the despair of American leaders who hoped to maintain Cuba as an ally. -

The goal for this alliance was to take over the sout coast of cuba at the bay of pigs. But instead the reason for the alliance to ultimatly fail was that Eisenhowers program ended before the (CIA) training was complete; so President Kennedy inherited responsibility for the program so his advisors made him believe that the CIA- trained rebels would be victorious. -
Kennedy's Visit To Berlin
Kennedy's visit to berlin was for him to pay tribute to the spirit of berliners and to their quest for freedom when he declared to the crowds "Iam a berliner." Also due to Kennedy's refusal to back down, infuriated Khrushchev, as did the U.S missiles in Turkey that were aimed at the soviet union. Also since cuba was a sore spot for kennedy after the invasion of the bay of pigs, krushchev begam to place missiles there and aim then at the coast of florida would prevent another American invasion.
