  • Period: 1 CE to 6

    week 1-6

    This is the weeks that the physical sensations of pregnancy usually appear: nausea, sore breasts, fatigue, and frequent urination are all signs of this incredible growth process. The embryo looks more like a tadpole than a human, but the body is growing rapidly
  • Period: 7 to 12

    week 7-12

    At 12 weeks pregnant, you've nearly reached the end of the first trimester, and your little one has been busy. All of your baby's vital organs and body parts will be in place this week; even the sex organs have developed. At this time, your baby has fully formed eyelids.
  • Period: 13 to 18

    week 13-18

    The second trimester of your pregnancy is from week 13 to week 28 (roughly months four, five and six) As well as feeling and looking more pregnant during these weeks, you may also have more energy than you did in the first trimester.
  • Period: 19 to 24

    week 19-24

    From about this stage onwards your baby will weigh more than the placenta (which, until now, was heavier than your baby). The placenta will keep growing throughout pregnancy, but not as fast as your baby. By the time you are 24 weeks pregnant, the baby has a chance of survival if he or she is born.
  • Period: 25 to 30

    week 25-30

    your baby measures about 17 inches from head to toe and weighs about 3 pounds. Baby is growing plumper and beginning to control its own body temperature. Eyebrows and eyelashes are fully developed, and hair on the head is getting thicker
  • Period: 31 to 36

    week 31-36

    Your baby will likely have gained about two pounds over the past few weeks, and he's probably already reached the length he'll be when he's born. He's plumping up, becoming less wrinkled, and is generally starting to look more like the baby you'll meet in just a few weeks.
  • Period: 37 to 40

    week 37-40

    The baby may drop lower in your abdomen, usually assuming the head-down position to prepare for birth. The brain has been developing rapidly, and your baby is practicing blinking
