The life of a child begins when sperm fertilizes the egg. This is the stage the baby consists of a ball of about 100 cells. Only a few of the cells from inside the ball form the embryo, and the cells on the outside wall form the placenta. This is the stage implantation occurs at this stage.
  • January 8th - Week Two

In this stage, the embryo consists of about 150 cells arranged in three layers - 1. endoderm 2. mesoderm 3. ectoderm - These layers form the muscles, bones, circulatory, reproductive, urinary, and nervous systems as well as the outer layer of the skin.
  • January 15th - Week 3
