The beginning of human history. They were hunter-gatherers and they lived in caves. They used stone, bone and woor to make tools and learned to use fire. -
10,000 BCE
MESOLITHIC (C 10000- 5500 BC)
The transition period between the Palaeolithic and the Neolithic.
It changes the way of life of humans, due to climate change. In addition, the flora increases and new animal species appear. New tools appear for fishing and hunting (hooks, nets). The first cemeteries appear. -
5500 BCE
NEOLITHIC (C. 5500- 2500 BC)
The beginning of sedentary life. People cultivated crops and domesticated animals. Villages formed near sources of water. -
2500 BCE
COPPER AGE (C. 2500- 1700 BC)
The metal is dicovered. The discovery of copper is resulted in stronger weapons and tools. People divided up tasks in their community, for example, farmers produced food for everyone or metal workers make tools and weapons for everyone. -
1700 BCE
BRONZE AGE (C. 1700- 800 BC)
People learned how to melt and shape bronze. They started using bronze weapons and tools that were even stronger than copper ones. -
800 BCE
IRON AGE (C. 800- 218 BC)
The iron is used to built weapons and tools more harder. Also, the coins and jewellery are maked with gold and silver. Larger settlements of houses with large hill forts were built for protection.
