  • Month 1 - December

    Month 1 - December
    During the first month, the female will start to have morning sickness, frequent urination, fatigue begins, food cravings, breast tenderness, and mood changes.
    Physical discomfort can include swollen breasts, lower back pain, morning sickness/nausea, and fatigue begins.
  • Month 2 - January

    Month 2 - January
    During month 2, the female has breast tenderness, not showing fully yet, constipation, mood changes, morning sickness, and heartburn.
    Physical discomfort during month 2 can include breast tenderness, nausea, constipation, and heartburn.
  • Month 3 - February

    Month 3 - February
    During the third month, the diaphragm begins to separate the heart & lungs, the rate of miscarriages decreases, mother's energy increases, has food cravings and experiences less morning sickness.
    Physical discomforts might include shortness of breath and more food cravings (not a discomfort, just hungry a lot).
    The diaphragm seperates the heart and lungs as well as the baby begins to get bigger, so more pressure is put on your lungs.
    Shortness of breath or tiredness.
  • Month 4 - March

    Month 4 - March
    During the fourth month, hormones stabilize, belly begins to show, heartburn is possible, and butterflies occur.
    Discomfort may include frequent urination due to the baby pushing on it and fatigue may occur.
    Discomfort due to the belly growing may include shortness of breath or heartburn.
  • Month 5 - April

    Month 5 - April
    During the fifth month, pregnancy brain may occur, uterus is the size of a cantaloupe, appetite often increases, belly button may pop out, and women gain 5-15 lbs.
    Discomfort due to these may include sore feet (due to increase in weight), stomach pain, and frequent urination.
    The uterus is the size of a cantaloupe which can add a lot of pressure which is uncomfortable as well as frequent urination occurs as the baby grows bigger.
  • Month 6: Weeks 26-30

    Month 6: Weeks 26-30
    The female body's belly will stretch to the size of a basketball during this month and it will be itchy. A woman may begin to put on more weight during this month. During this time the intestines will be crowded upwards and backwards. Some discomforts from this may be swelling of the feet and ankles, headaches and hypertension. The organs will be compressed during this month, mostly the uterus and the bladder. Some discomforts from this are pelvic pressure and backaches.
  • Month 7: Weeks 31-34

    Month 7: Weeks 31-34
    During this month stretch marks will start to appear due to the baby growing and getting bigger. Your stomach will grow every day and there will be less movement. The intestines will continue to be squished upwards. Some discomforts from this will be an itchy belly, swollen hands and feet, loss of center of gravity, and feet cramps. During this month the organs will be compressed like the colon and the stomach. From this heart burn, back pain, and frequent urination is expected.
  • Month 8: Weeks 35-38

    Month 8: Weeks 35-38
    At this month weight gain slows down but there will be a constant feeling of discomfort. The intestines are still being squished up and back. Some discomforts from this are feeling extreme exhaustion and normal tasks may seem very hard like eating. The organs being compressed but most of the organs in the abdomen area. Some discomforts from this are a shortness in breath and hip/back pain.
  • Month 9: Weeks 39-42

    Month 9: Weeks 39-42
    In this month you will feel very uncomfortable and impatient. You may feel a surge in energy as your body prepares for birth and the baby will drop lower into the pelvis. Some discomforts will be frequent urination, leaky breasts, and facial hair. Some organs are being compressed but due to the baby dropping some pressure is released. Some discomforts are constipation and a lot of pressure on the lower part of the body.
