King George III
King George III passed a new law that forbidded anyone from settling west of the Appalachin Mountains. This enraged the colonists as many of them had recently purchased land in that direction.

Sugar Act
This was the first revenue-raising act passed by Parliament of Great Britain after the French-Indian War. What it did was it raised the taxes on the sugar that the colonists bought from Great Britain.

The First Quartering Act
The first act out of three, states that Great Britain would house its soldiers in American barracks and public houses.

Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was a tax made by the British Parliament for the original colonies. The act required that almosta all printed materials in the colonies had to be made on stamped paper produced in Britain that carried an embossed revenue stamp.

Boston Massacre
British Amry soldiers fired their weapos into a crowd of people instantly killing three people, wounding several others, and two people died later.

Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party occured because of the British charging too much taxes for their tea. This caused some of the colonists to revolt and dump all of their tea into the ocean. This was mercantilism because they thought the colonists owned them money for fighting the French Indian War with them.

The Intolerable Acts
Prime Minister is defending his decisions to make the Intolerable Acts. The acts enraged many of the colonists and was very important as it lead up to the American Revolution.

First Continental Congress
The First Continental Congress had a meeting between 12 of the 13 colonies with Georgia the only one not attending. The representative of these twelve colonies were brought together to discuss a response to the "Intolerable Acts" brought by the British.

Patrick Henry
On this day, Patrick Henry gave his famous speech which ended with " Give me liberty or give me death!" He was making a speech to the Virginia Convention. He and many others did not want to be virtually represented by the British Parliament and they demanded their freedom from Great Britain.

Paul Revere
Paul Revere made history with something called the "Midnight Ride." This happened when he was warned of the British coming to invade the colonies so he rode on his horse around Charlestown to warn people to prepare for an invasion.
