    Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    This act made colonist support the British, it made them help them if they needed food or shelter. The colonist looked into this act because they felt it violated the bill of rights.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    Where the colonists could no longer settle past the Appalachian mountains. Colonists did not except this proclamation, they moved west passed the mountains anyways.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    To try and get colonists to stop smuggling, they halved the taxes on foreign made molasses. This did not work. The colonist smuggled molasses anyways.
  • Currency Act

    Currency Act
    Banned colonists from emitting future currency but it did not ban them from issuing currency.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    This act places a tax on any paper document. The colonist were raged at this act, the sons of liberty, created by Samuel Adams, was created and riots were started.
  • Repeal of Stamp Act

    Repeal of Stamp Act
    When the parliament repeals the stamp act but immediately issues the declaratory act.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    When the mobs gathered and the fights broke out over the jobs. British colonists attacked on defenseless citizens.
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    This act basically places a monopoly on tea. The reaction of this is the Boston tea party.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    to help the struggling English tea companies, British parliament releases a tea act. As a result, colonist dump 18000 pounds of tea into the Boston harbor.
  • The Intolerable Acts

    The Intolerable Acts
    Created as a result of the Boston tea part, the intolerable acts were created. These acts shut down the Boston harbor, authorized Britian to house soldiers, and placed Boston under military forces. Colonists formed the first continental congress and made the declaration of colonial rights.
