Enter the date from the journal to the ledger.

Enter the journal and page number from the jounral and enter on the ledger Post Ref. column.

Enter the general debit amount on the journal and enter the same amount on the ledger debit.

Add the debit amount in the ledger to the debit balance amount to create the new balance amount.
