    The Indian Independence Act 1947 was an act where it received the royal assent on July 18, 1947. The act partitoned British India
    into the two dominoes of India and Pakistan, then India became two new countries.

    The Arabs and The Jews conflict erupted in a civil war in 1947. The war had transformed into an inter-state conflict between Israel and the Arab states which later founded the Israel state.

    The Korean War was a war between North and South Korea, in which a United Nations force led by the USA fought for the South, and China as well as the Soviet Union, fought for the North. The war rose Korean divisions and caused global tensions of the Cold War afterwards.

    Sputnik 1 was the first ever artificial Earth satellite. The Soviet Union launched it into an elliptical low Earth orbit on 4 October 1957, which caused public fear and uncertainty in the United States.
  • Bay of Pigs invasion begins

    The Bay of Pigs invasion was a failed military invasion of Cuba undertaken by the CIA-sponsored paramilitary group Brigade 2506 on 17 April 1961. Although a failed invasion, it strengthened the position of Castro's dictatorship as well as his ties with the USSR which eventually led to the events of the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962.
