    The Invention of Electricity
    Electricity played a major role on the increase of world population. Places like Hospitals, clinics and even your own house wouldn't have electricity. The Invention of electricity was first found in 1752 by Thomas Jefferson. He ran many experiments and he finally concluded that electricity is real. However, electricity only came at around 1882 where the first house with electricity was established. Later,the world started to use more and more electricity resulting in the increase in population.

    The world population hits one billion.

    World Population hits 2 billion
    World Population hits 2 billion: More than 200,000 die from an earthquake in China.
  • The Green revolution

    The Green revolution
    The Green Revolution was the development of the planation of new food plants and the altering of agricultural practices. Norman Borlaug the father of the green revolution, has saved billions of lives. He created the High Yield Variety seeds with reduced famine in third world countries. He went to many countries such as Mexico, India and Pakistan to help on their agriculture. He was also awarded the a Nobel Peace Prize because he has saved more lives than any other person who has ever lived.
  • Polio Vaccine created

    Polio Vaccine created
    Polio was a very deadly disease back in the day and caused paralysis which was very leathal. It killed more than 3,145 in 1952. However, because of the vaccine, Polio became less and less deadly

    World Population hits 4 Billion
    World population hits 4 billion in 1975.
  • Modern Sewage System

    Modern Sewage system only came in 1866 in London. Sewage Systems contributed on world population because they got rid of residues which had lots of bacteria that had diseases such as dysentery. Before the sewage systems, people used to throw out the window their remains and because of that, many epidemics occurred but because nowadays we have a sewage system, less people are getting sick.
  • Conclusion

    In conclusion, I believe that Global Population has been increasing this past decades due to machinery, medication and etc. My strengths of my research is that I had lots of events and milestones and my weekness are that I didn't put a lot of research on my events and milestones.
  • Smallpox eradicated from the world

    Smallpox eradicated from the world
    Smallpox was a very deadly disease which killed around 300-500 million people around the world in total. Almost 30% of the people infected died. A vaccine was finally created and at 1980, Smallpox was declared eradicated.
  • World Population hits 5 Billion

    World Population hits 5 Billion
    World population hits 5 billion in 1987
