The Short-Faced Bear living from 1.8 Mya until going extinct 11,000 years ago. They are the earliest ancestor of the Polar Bear. They were giant animals with an average height of 6 feet from the ground to its shoulders when on 4 legs and 11 to 12 feet high when standing on 2. This bear also weighed an average of around 2,500 pounds.
