coming in behind the retirement of Coach Chuck Noll, Coach Cowher was a great hire in keeping with the Steelers tradition of toughness and achievement. After a dry spell of championships, Coach Cowher brought home the Lombardi Trophy in SB XL- 2006 and re-energized a franchise as well as a city. He gave the city 15 great seasons of Steelers football along with two Sporting News NFL Coach of the Year honors. -
