    Due to WWII most people were serving so because of this the Pittsburgh Steelers merged with the Philadelphia Eagles during the 1943 season

    On January 12, 1975 the Steelers won their first Super Bowl. The Steelers defeated the Vikings that game, the score was 16-6

    In August of 1998 Arthur J. Rooney passes away after owning the Steelers since the start. Since Arthur J, Rooney passed away the team was passed down to his son Dan Rooney.

    In 2009, the Steelers had won their 6th Super Bowl after defeating the Cardinals, the score was 27-23. The Steelers became the first team to win 6 Super Bowl championships.
