New Name!
The Steelers original name was the Pittsburgh Pirates, After 7 years Art Rooney, the owner of the Pittsburgh Pirates, decides to change the name. At that time Pittsburgh was a mass producer of steel, so he decided to name them the Pittsburgh Steelers. -
In the Deep
The Steelers start off bad losing their first two games. Fortunately, they have a good running back named Bill Dudley who leads them to go 7-4. Their first winning season ever! -
Finally!
After loosing so many games the Steelers make a deal with the Detroit Lions and receive a quarterback that is just coming off a championship victory, Bobby Layne. He leads Pittsburgh to a 7-4-1 record.
