In the first version only four Photoshop programmers had thier name on the Photoshop splash screen. At first Photoshop plug-ins were not really encouraged, but now theyre really popular. -
Photoshop 2.0
This version included the Path feature. This allows Photoshop users to be able to trim around any onject and be able to save the path for future use. -
Photoshop 3.0
Layers were introduced in version 3.0 of Photoshop. Layers are individual images that, at the end of the work, go together as a "sandwhich" to make the final image. -
Photoshop 4.0
In this version adjustment layers were added. Adjustment layers all the designers to apply an effect to a group of layers. -
Photoshop 5.0
In this version the ability to undo any actions multiple times was available. Color management debuted and it allows colors to be managed within the application. -
Photoshop 6.0
In this version of photoshop the layers styles panel became easier to use. Vector shapes were also added which, gives the ability to draw vector shapes like arrows. -
Photoshop 7.0
This version introduced the healing brush. This was made to be used by Mac OS X. -
Photoshop CS
Photoshop CS was the first to make the CDS. This recognizes and refuses duplication. -
Photoshop CS2
In this version of photoshop the red eye removal tool was introduced. The ablility to select multiple layers was also added to photoshop functions. -
Photoshop CS3
In this version of photoshop loading became faster. There was two different types of editions for this version, standard and extended. -
Photoshop CS4
In this version of photoshop the zoom ability became smoother allowing for its users to zoom in better and quikcer. Also, the masks and adjustments panel was added. -
Photoshop CS5
Within this version of photoshop three-dimensioal brushes were available. Also, many new tools were added like the mixer brush. -
Photoshop CS6
In this version of photoshop the focus of the version was on enhance performance. Also, new video editing tools were introduced.
