    Darwin Embarked A Voyage Ship

    In 1831, Charles embarked the British Royal Navy, the HMS Beagle. During his 5 year voyage Darwin studied plants, animals, fossils and geological formations. He made important finds during the voyage, including the findings of gigantic fossils of extinct mammals, only known then from very few specimens. During his voyage he was able to explore regions in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and islands such as the Galápagos.

    In 1838, Thomas Malthus wrote an essay on natural selection too stating that population increases geometrically, whereas food production rises and how some members of society were able to survive difficult living conditions.   • Darwin – Wallace theory

    Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace presented their theory to the Linnean Society of London under the title "On the Tendency of Species to form Varieties; and on the Perpetuation of Varieties and Species by Natural Means of Selection." This was the first announcement theory of evolution by natural selection, which then became the foundation of modern evolutionary studies.
