Maguindanao Massacre
The Maguindanao Massacre happened when victims on thier way to file a certificate of candidacy for the vice mayor of Bulvan (Mangudadatu), were kidnapped and brutally killed. 58 people were killed, including Mangudadatu's wife, friends, lawyers, and other relatives. The victims relatives blamed the rival clan for the attack. -

Category five Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines proving to be the deadliest typhoon in the nations history. This typhoon killed over 6,000 people and with over 1,500 people still missing and 1.5 billion dollars in damage. -
