Lev Vygotsky introduces the theory: zone of proximal development. This is where he believed that students needed to be challenged beyond their current level of independent competence. -
IDEA act
Once named Education for All Handicapped Children, ensures that children with disabilites legally have a right to free public education. Also incorporates IEP's for each student under this law. -
Computer Entrance into Schools
Computers made there way into the schools during the 80's. Practice programs became big during this time as well so students were using computers regularly during school. -

There are many online personalized learning websites that students use to better their education. Online learning programs have been successful for several years now. Each online program is catered to the needs of the child. -
