Burnout 3: Takedown was developed by Criterion Games and published by EA in 2004. It was one of the first games I actively played and became one of my favourites of all time. Despite never being a massive fan of racing games, I played this game a lot as a kid and loved the unique mechanics that rewarded you for taking out opposing drivers. Pokémon Pearl was released in 2006 and is an installment in the 4th generation of the Pokémon series. It was my first DS game and made me fall in love with the franchise and appreciate the details put into these games, especially the soundtrack and world building. I loved the convenience of the DS which allowed me to play anywhere. UEFA Euro 2004 was a soccer game developed by EA Canada for Windows, Xbox, and Playstation 2. I used to play against my younger brother for hours on end and it was one of the greatest bonding experiences I had with him. It was my introduction to the 'couch party' style of gaming. Released in 2011 Minecraft is a sandbox game which is now the bestselling video game of all time. It was one of the first and most influential online games I played. Pokemon Sun was one of my first times venturing into the landscape of competitive gaming. While I never reached professional success, I found the experience of theory crafting and putting the time in to build my own team very rewarding and I found decent success participating in online tournaments despite not ranking very high. Released in 2019 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was a reboot of the original and was developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. It was the first game I played with friends during highschool and I found it a good way to unwind from school and it helped build my friendships.
