Event 1:Mrs.Dodds
This even occurs when Percy is at a museum with his class for a field trip and Mrs. Dodds takes him into a room and when they get into a room together she turns into a fury and try's to kill Percy.This is important because this is the beginning of Percy's adventure to becoming a half god. -
Event 2:The Three Women
This event is when Percy is on a bus and the bus breaks down and when he gets off he sees three women and this is important because they are cutting yarn and they are fate so when the cut a string of yarn that means that someone is going to die.This is important to the theme because now percy knows that someone is going to die that is close to him. -
Event 3:Vacation
This event is important because he is in the car with his mother and Grover and they are driving to the Half Blood Camp and they are attacked by a Minotaur that was sent by Hades they managed to get to the camp but his mom couldn't get to safety because she wasn't a half blood and only half bloods can enter and she is taken by the Minotaur. This important to the theme because now it adds another element to the adventure because now he has to get his mother back. -
Event 4:Percy The Halfgod
Percy was undetermined before they played capture the flag and after he won the game a trident appears over his head and Poseidon claimed him as his son.This is important because know he knows who his real father is and what he can do with the ocean and water,which will help him later in the story. -
Event 5:Hades
Hades shows up out of a bonfire and accuses Percy of stealing the lightning bolt from Zues and if he brings it to him then Percy will get his mother back.This is important because it adds another aspect to his adventure and life. -
Event 6:The Oracle
Percy goes to the Oracle so the Oracle can tell him his destiny.But the Oracle tells him the he will fail at saving the thing that matters most to him.This is important because he is now confused what is going to happen and who he wont be able to save. -
Event 7: The Quest
Percy is given a quest to go to the underworld and get back the lightning bolt before the summer solstice,They believe Hades has it and that the entrance is in Los Angeles.This is important because now Percy knows what he has to do to fix this. -
Event 8:Medusa
Medusa invites them into her shop and she gives them something to eat,she had tons of peoples statues and Grover and Annabeth save him from looking into her eyes because if he looked into them then he would turn to stone.This is important because they get one of the items that they need for there quest. -
Event 9:Lotus Casino
Percy and Grover and Annabeth go to the casino to get another thing that they need for there quest and at this casino they feed you lotus's and those make you stay forever if you keep eating them and Percy figures this out and has to save Grover and Annabeth from staying forever. This is important because they get another piece for there quest and they make progress to getting the lightning bolt from Hades. -
Event 10:Hades' Underworld
Percy makes it into the underworld and is greeted by Hades and he inst happy because he believes that Percy stole the bolt but ares put it into the backpack that he gave Percy and Hades steals the bolt and then Percy leaves with his mom and Annabeth and Grover has to stay behind cause they only have 3 return pearls and when they leave Hades wife strikes Hades with the lightning bolt.This is important because now the quest is over and he got his mother back.
