The discovery of Penicillin is attributed Alexander Fleming, as when he came back from his holiday he saw bacteria growing on a petri dish, and something was stopping the mold from growing. That was Penicillin, which could be extracted from the petri dish and put into a person or animal to kill bacterial infections. -
Legionares Disease was discovered
Legionares disease is a bacterial infection which causes pneumonia and is life threatening. It can be treated with Penicillin and other antibiotics.
