9 p.m- Peace Appeal
President Franklin D. Roosevelt sent out a peace appeal to the Empire of Japan. There was no answer. -
7:02 am- Radar Spots Unidentified Aircraft
Radar shows 50 or more aircraft heading towards Oahu, Hawaii. -
7:55 a.m- Sending the Message
Commander Logan C. Ramsey told the telegraph operators to send out a warning to every ship and base: AIR RAID ON PEARL HARBOR X THIS IS NOT DRILL. -
8:10 a.m- Burning U.S.S Arizona
A bomb pierced the forward deck of Arizona. This bomb set off 1 million+ pounds of gunpowder which created a huge fireball, and it killed 1,177 men. A sailor on the U.S.S Nevada saw the Arizona go at least 15-20 feet in the air. -
8:50 a.m- Nevada goes to sea
As Nevada is going out to sea, a salior sees the boat's flag and thinks of the words "The Star Spangled Banner". -
10:30 a.m- Casualities & Hospitals
Many wounded go to hospitals, others are too hurt to make it. For meny of these wounded soldiers, all nurses can give to them is morphine. If they give their patient morphine, they put an "M" on the patient's forehead to let the other nurses know they have morphine in their system. 2,390 people died in the hospital. -
8:54 a.m- 2nd Oahu Wave
On this second wave, there were 78 dive-bombers, 35 fighters, and 54 high-altitude bombers. The Japanese attack, and the hit the ship Pennsylvania. Another bomb came and hit Cassin and Downes which destroys their oil. -
1 p.m- The Ride Home
The U.S Navy will sink all the Japanese aircrafts, cruisers, and battleships because of what they did to them on Pearl Harbor. -
1 p.m- Declaration of War
President Franklin D. Roosevelt recieves permission about a declaration of war against Japan by the Congress. (WWII) -
U.S Declares War on Germany & Italy
After the attack on Pearl Harbor, the U.S declared war on both Germany and Italy. The time was unknown.
