There has been great tension between Great Britain and Ireland for to long. My mom and I decide that we are sick of it and we want to be able to relax in the new world. -

We made it to Ellis island!
Me and my mom finally got to Ellis island. When we were going through the health exam, my mom didn't pass and was taken away. I still don't know what happened to her or where she went. -
I have no money!
When I got into New York, all I had was a quarter, a blanket, a pillow, and a book. I was dirt poor and I knew that I had to find a job fast. -
I got a job!!!!
After all this time looking for a job, I found one at a sweatshop. I made sweaters. I worked long hours and barely made any money, but it was enough to keep me off the streets and into a hotel. -
Pikes Peak Gold Rush
I got sick of living in the crowded city and I wanted to move west where there was more land. I heard about the Pikes Peak gold rush and I wasnted to go there and get some money. I heard that some people struck it rich there and I wanted in on the action. -
Finally settling in
After the Pikes Peak gold rush, I decided to settle in Denver to live a modern, relaxing life. -
Getting Married
I got married to a woman named Daisy. -
Starting a family
I had two kids, one boy and one girl. The boy was named John and the girl was named Mary. -
The Chinese Exclusion Act
When the Chinese immigrated here, they worked on railroads and they made a big percentage of the workers on the railroads. This slowed down the production of railroad tracks which slowed down transportation. -
Tired of the city life
I got tired of all the urbanization and I decided to move away from the city for a simple life.
