    The Black Plauge
    The Black Plauge which was from 1347 to 1351 was a plague that is believed to have originated from rats. Its mortality rate was from 35%-70% percent. People repsonded to this plauge by reading differnet accounts of the palgue and what they thought was the way to avoid it, such as buring wormwood. The impact of thsi plague was the widespread fear throughout the middle east and Europe, many people refused to even go outside. In total, 25,000,00 people died.
  • Manchurian Plague

    Manchurian Plague
    The Manchurian plague, which had a short span from 1910 to 1911, is thought to have originated from a "tarbagan marmot infected with bacterial pneumonia." It was an airborne spread disease and had a near 100% mortality rate. The repsonse of this plague was rather quick, a Cambridge trained doctor led the chinese efforts to stop the plague, he encouraged quarintine and the use of face masks. The death toll reached 60,000 people, and during its reign spread from Manchuria to Beijing and Tianjin.

    Also known as the Great Influenza Epidemic, the Spanish Flu was caused by the H1N1 Influenza A virus. The pandemic broke out towards the end of World War one and spread from the State of Kansas in the US. The world responded by enforcing quarintines and social distancing, the use of face masks was a common thing. Entire cities were shut down in an effort to get rid of this virus. The Flu infected around 500 million people, and the global mortality was about 21.6 million.

    This virsus which began in 2009, was a rare occurance. It transmitted from pigs to humans. The symptoms were mild, such as a fever, cough, sneezing, or difficulty breathing. The methods to prevent the spread included facility management, herd management, and vaccination. The virus by itself in most cases was not strong enough to kill someone, so most death cases were caused along with a secondary illness. The fatalities stood/stand at 150,000 to 575,000

    This virus, which in some cases is still around, rumored to have started in late 2019 yet took drastic effect in 2020. It shut the entire world down in terms of stores, businesses. The effort to prevent this virus from spreading included the enforcement of wearing a face mask and social distancing. In terms of death, the virus had the most cases with people who were older. The fatalities of this virus currently stand at about 7,000,000
