1940 People start to think abut a separate state
Revolutionaries had started to understand that Muslims needed a totally separate state as we couldn't just forcefully make both Hindus and Muslims live together as it would only make more room for fights and mayhem as it was also said int he Lahore resolution of 1940 where 100.000 Muslims gathered to hear Mr.Jinnah speak and also stated that you cant make two people of totally different ethnicities live in the same place forcefully.

    Partition Of Pakistan 1940-1947

In this timeline i will briefly yet in depth tell you all the problems faced by the Muslims and Pakistan as a whole during the Partition of Pakistan.
  • Women started to take part in this partition

Women started to take part in this partition
In 1942 Quaid addressed at a women's college that he was very happy that all types of Muslims were taking part in this and no nation can prosper without the help of it's women. Four women are praised for their help in the partition:
    1) Mohtarma Fatima jinnah
    2) Begum Raana Liaquat Ali Khan
    3) Begum Jahan Ara Shahnawaz
    4) Begum shaista ikramullah
  • The Cripps proposals fail

Led by Sir Stafford Cripps his mission was to convince the Indian leaders to give them their loyalty and cooperation for Britain's war efforts and then they would be given full dominion status in India but all they got were rejections as the war was at full blow at the time and no one really knew when it would end so they rejected them and Gandhi told them to "quit India" Quaid agreed but wanted to add something "divide and quit" as he was totally devoted to giving the Muslims a separate nation
  • The Quit India movement takes place

Congress started the Quit India movement to disrupt the working of the British but only got one day to do so. The congress party leaders were arrested and even though it ended fast but still the damage had been done.
  • The Jinnah-Gandhi talks, 1944

As Gandhi was released from jail a meeting between Jinnah and Gandhi took place to make a settlement between the two major parties to decide upon Pakistan
  • WWII has ended

WWII ended in disaster for all countries involved. With Britain having a huge economic crisis and weakened to the point where it could not hold onto colonies. The parties were called to a meeting in Simla where the british still tried to convince the indians to add only the viceroy and the chief of the armed forces. It ended in failure due to two reasons that Muslim league and congress had a fight as to whom would choose the muslimmembers in the council. The other reason was the labour party.
  • Elections of 1945-1946

The Elections proved that what type of people were voting for which party and told all of us that The Muslim League solely represented the Muslims and the Congress represented the Hindus.
  • The cabinet mission plan

One last attempt was taken from the British to keep India united they sent three members from their cabinet. The plan they were given didn't help a bit so they made a plan of their own to make a group known as the All india union to basically interfere with the Indians problems and somehow stop India from splitting up.
  • The most historic day in history of the league

Since the start Muslim league never rejected or obliged the constitutional methods but today they had to totally reject the plans and announced direct action day. Communal violence was high and thousands died only on the streets of Calcutta and the plan failed. A day was decided on June 1948 the transfer of power would happen.
  • Going closer to Partition and the independence act

A few talks were done and it was decided to move the date to 15 august 1947 and partition was agreed upon. The independence act stated that India and Pakistan would be made and the British will have no control over them. This shall happen at 15 August 1947.
  • Independence

Finally the day people thought of a faraway dream became true in front of their own eyes. Both made beautiful and influencing speeches on both sides of the once known Sub-continent now turned into two totally different states with their own beliefs and their own people.Pakistan the "dream" was finally made.
