Japanese invasion of China
Japan wanted China's resources and saw how weak China was so they took advantage of that. Japan captured key parts of chinese ports and cities. China still resisted and it led to 10 to 20 mllion chinese people dead. The war ended in a stalemate.

Around 75,000 Filipino and American troops were forced to walk many miles to prison camps. The US surrendered the bataan peninsula. Many died on the March due to harsh treatment and heat.
