    Japan bombs Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; also attacks the Philippines, Wake Island, Guam, Malaya, Thailand, Shanghai, and Midway
  • Declaring War

    Declaring War
    The U.S declares war on Japan and the ally of the U.S, Britain, also declares war on Japan. The Japanese are also on the verge of attacking Thailand as they are near Singapore entering Thailand.
  • Battle of Hong Kong

    Battle of Hong Kong
    The Britain and Canadians are fighting in Hong Kong to protect the British Crown colony. Over the past few days the Canadians were fighting the Japanese inexperienced and untrained. On Christmas Day the British Crown colony was surrendered and the surviving Canadians were taken as slaves.
  • Battle of Midway

    Battle of Midway
    The U.S Navy had a decisive victory in the air-sea battle and defense of the major base located at Midway Island. This battle helped dash Japan's hopes to defeating the U.S as a naval power and was the turning point of the war. This battle started on the 3rd and lasted till the 6th.
  • Battle of Tassafaronga

    Battle of Tassafaronga
    This battle took place in the Ironbottom Sound off Tassafaronga Point on Guadalcanal's northern coast. It was a surprise attack initiated by the U.S task force. It was a success as they sunk a destroyer. Although the Japanese quickly fired back resulting in a battle that the U.S then later won as the Japanese fled.
  • Battle of Okinawa

    Battle of Okinawa
    One of the last major battles and it's one of the bloodiest. It was Easter Sunday when the Navy attacked with more than 180,000 Army and Marines descended on the Pacific Island of Okinawa for the final push towards Japan. It was a waiting game for the Japanese until they were finally in the fight. The U.S ultimately won the battle and over 7,000 Japanese soldiers surrendered but most chose suicide.
