    In December, 1941 the Japansese had a plan to take Wake island from the hands of U.S forces. After 3 attempts to capture the island, the Japanese finally took the island on December 23rd, 1941. The first attempt was on December 8th when Japan sent 36 bombers to the island. Then, on December 11th the Japanese a naval fleet to the island, but the Americans defended of the attack. Finally on December 23rd, 1941 the Japanese sent a stronger naval fleet and seized the island from the U.S

    The Battle of the Coral Sea
    The Japanese naval fleet had set up to invading fleets of naval ships, one to invade Soloman and the other to invade New Guinea. One of the forces rain in to an american Naval fleet in the Coral sea. ON May 7th, 1942 a carrier battle broke out between the two countries, leaving both sides with sunken and heavly dameaged ships. Overall however, the Japanese fleet managed to destroy the most ships, giving them the victory in this violent naval battle.

    The Japanese navy had a plan to attack U.S naval ships that had escaped the carnage of Pearl Harbor. The plan was to surprise attack the Americans so that the Japanese could take the ships down easily. However, U.S. Admiral Chester W. Nimitz was able to intercept the Japan's plan, and the American naval fleet prepared for the attack. On the morning if June 4th, 1942 American soldiers had spotted Japanese troops and the battle began. In the end, the U.S won, making this a turning point in the war

    Battle of Guadacanal
    On June 8th, 1942 the Japanese Navy had landed on Guatacanal with plans to build a aircraft base. The Amercians planned to seize the island from the Japanese to make communication with Australia easier. The U.S ambushed the base while it was still under construction. After months of brutal fighting, the Japanese weren't able to take the island back, as the U.S was able to send reinforcments faster than Japan, The Battle finally ended on February 9th,
  • Battle of the Philippine Sea

    Battle of the Philippine Sea
    On this day, the American forces planned to take the island of Saipan in the pacific Ocean. On June 19th, 1944 the American naval fleet invaded the island of Saipan resulting the largest carrier battle in all of WWII. In the end, the American forces were victorious, leaving the Japanese with a huge defeat, since after the battle the amicans continued to push further into the Island desyroying the Japanese base.
