The Industrial Era was a time when more and more factories were built.Large factories that had existed only in the textile industry before the war became more common in a variety of industries. Labor was in high demand to run these new industries, creating more and new jobs. -

The Spanish American War- It started with the Cuban struggle to gain independence from Spain. Spain declared war on the U.S, and the day after we did the same.The war was one sided and Spain ended up surrendering to us on July 17. -

Women's Suffrage- It is the right of women to vote and to stand for electoral office. It was officially passed after WW2, after fighting for it since 1848. -

The Prohibition- A period where any selling and consumption of any type of alcoholic beverage was prohibited, the reason the prohibition was given that name. -

The Dust Bowl- An event that lasted about a decade within the states New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas , Colorado and the very bottom of Nebraska. The states were devistated by drought, windblown dust and agricultural decline. -
