In 1497 King Henry VII sent Cabot on a voyage to the West. Cabot landed on the far northern Atlantic coastnof North America. -

Christopher Columbus
Christopher Columbus had a different idea, he though Asia could be reached by sailing West from Europe. He persuaded the king and queen of Spain, Ferdinand and Isabella to suport him in his adventure. He gave credit to the queen and king. -

The Columbian Exchange, exchanged plants, animals, and even diseases moved between Western and Eastern Hemispheres. Europeans enjoyed lots of American foods such as potatoes, tomatoes, beans, and corn. Native Americansmade use of horses and cattle, which were introduced to the Americas by the Spanish. -
