John and Tanya met at Loyola Marymount University in the Philosophy Department

John and Tanya started dating because they liked each other's halloween costumes

John and Tanya fell in love in Europe
while travelling through Ireland and France! -
John told Tanya that he loved her
by writing a note in her German phrasebook tht say "Du bist neurotisch, aber Ich Libe Dich." Tanya saved the note in her journal. -
Tanya and John studied abroad in Beijing
for all of Fall 2008. Both of them remember this as one of the most powerful learning experiences they have ever had, and they loved every minute of it. -
Tanya and John graduated college!
Tanya for the second time, and John for the first- and they sat side-by-side during the ceremony. -
Tanya and John travelled to Panama
to practice their Spanish and drink excellent coffee together -
Johnya spent a year apart as Jesuit Volunteers
John was in Sacramento, and Tanya was in San Antonio. The separation was hard, but they made it through! -
Tanya and John moved to Austin, Texas!

Tanya and John had a puppy!
and they named him Winston, because of his very silly droopy face -
Johnya got engaged
at the beach in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California- Tanya's home town. Before asking Tanya, John asked every other person they both knew, including Tanya's man-of-honor, Jared Linge. -
Johnya moved to Boston, MA
to start graduate school- Tanya studying the law, and John studying the medicines -
Johnya is going to make it official!
