miss bethune inquiry
Why did/do people migrate to australia?? Because of war, job applications, education and because sometimes they weren't safe.
They are forced to leave, What thoughts/feelings do people undergo when migrating?? Sad, angry, desperate to go back to their family because of war and they are forced to leave their family. What problems may arise for migrants?? They can’t speak our language and they have to find out a way to understand our language, and they had to leave their family. -
Miss Zara's religion rotation
The first fleet that arrived in Australia 316 of them were catholic
the fleet arrived in 1788.
For some years there were no priests in the settlement.
the first mass in australia was held on may 15th, 1803 by fr dixon.
he was pardoned and permitted to say...
in 1820 father john therry and father philip arrived as the first official priests.
Attending to the first mass I think it would have been good and fun because you had to keep your religion alive for a long time. -
miss zaha's rotation religion #2
I think the priests to hold the first mass in Australia would have been a bit scared because you don't know wether everyone is nice.
I think being a catholic here i australia being one of the first settlers would have been hard because you don't know what it would be like and you would be one of the only ones. -
