    my familes and all the other head out for the west. we fight to be first in the wagon so we dont get dust in our faces from the other wagons. its nough because non of us can agree on anyting

    the trip was fun in the beggining but now its reallyboring and exhausting. all we have been seing was grass black couds came and a big lightening stirm came and made our animals panic and run fast this was a problem for our wagons

    we ran into some ideans we where scaried because they are experts with bow and arows but then we remembered they agreement the us had with it so we paid our tolll and they let us by safley

    Buffalo usually are peaceful animals on the plains above the rivers. When they panic theres nothing stopping them. Pioneer's have to move there wagons out of the way so they dont get crushed.Humans hunt them and they use their hides to make tents and clothes

    the women do the cooking and it isn't in good conditions. There is no tables and nothing to cook on until a fire is lit. Flying insects usually dropped into the pot or pan you were cooking in.the meat wasnt always fresh and sometimes you were lucky to kill a buffalo.

    While traveling through the Oregan trail, wagons would havet to cross rivers an streams along the way. Alot of pioneers drowned crossing rivers because they didnt know how to swim because that was taught in school. wagons oftenly crossed rivers on fords. A ford is a shallow part of the river that wagons can cross.

    fort laramie is a place where you can go when your food is running low your wagon is falling apart and you have a far distance to travel. The fort supplies food, a place to stay, materials and much more for your needs along the way
  • Done in and Done for

    Done in and Done for
    Pioneers have trouble picking wheather they should have a mule or an oxen pull their wagon. Mules walk faster but oxen pull heavy weight. Its a hard decision because these animals depend on your life.
