Hello Cookie!
Two chocolate disks with creme filling made its first debut! The Oreo was born! The cookie's company Nabisco, dropped a new way to snack! Oreos has sold over 365 billion packages since they were first introduced. The first cookie was sold in New Jersey at only 30 cents for the tin package.

Lemon!
The National Busicuit Comany released oreos in Lemon flavor! The lemon meringue cookies were later discountinued in 1916, with the original creme flavor beating them in sales! (Photo by LRUSHINGG) -
DOUBLE the GOOD STUFF!
The still popular fan favorite, Double Stuf first dropped on the shelves in 1974 by Nabisco's food scientist Sam Porcello who later created the dark and white chocolate covered oreo. (Pete Sorbi) -
More than DOUBLE!
Because Double Stuf wasn't enough! Nabisco released the Big Stuf oreo in 1984. It was 10 times larger than the orignal cookie. A popular commercial also came along with the new line featuring Mr. Big Stuff. The Big Stuf oreos were discountinued in 1991 Big

Yummy Fudge!
Fudge Covered Oreos were brought to buyers attention in 1987. In 1988 the fudged covered oreo made it's way to the big screen with new commericials! O-R-E-Ohhhh! (Photo by Attamy) What The Fudge! -
Minis!

Halloween
Just for the holiday, Nabisco created the Halloween edition of the oreo in 1991. To buyer's suprise the filling was orange! Of course these new tasty cookies were in every kids Trick or Treat stash! Later, Nabisco also added sppoky designs on the chocolate disks. (Photo by Jodi) -
Merry Christmas!
What's the red? Following the Halloween edition of oreos, Nabisco released the Winter edition oreos in 1995. This time, the creme filling was red. The cookies hit the shelves as the

Organic Os!
Nabisco released the first organic oreos in 2006. Organic Oreos were plain oreo cookies made with organic flavor and organic sugar. The sugar-free oreos also made their debut later the same year. (Photo by Karathc) -
Cake or Cookie?
Oreo Cakesters were introduced in 2007, as soft chocolate snack cakes with vanilla or chocolate creme in the middle. Chocolate filling also hit the shelves weeks later.
