Intro
Most people lived near the eastern coast of America. The plan was to go west because there was good soil and a lot of land. Caption: This is what it kinda looked like when the pioneers set off. -
Going West
Pioneers pack their wagons with stuff that will get them through 5 months. Also they have to make sure that the wagons are strong enough for the trip,because others who have traveled there say it a possiable trip but a challenging one.

The town of independence
The pioneers set out in the spring. They first went to independence town to form a train of wagons.

Into the unknown
Pioneers set off onto the journey. All trying to get in the front and also fighting about everything that comes along the way.They are trying to nominate leader to fix their problems.

Indians
The pionees meet indians along the way, They have to be nice to them becuase they are letting them cross their land. But the Pioneers have to give something in exchange to cross their land.

Stampede
The pioneers watch out for a herd of buffalo coming anytime becuase the buffalo can trample people to death and hurt or scare the animals that the pioneers are riding on.

Wet and weary
As they pass the grasses, it starts to turn into endless plains. Where storms and sand start to effect you. the storm scares the animals and the sand gets in eyes and make lips puffy.

Mealtimes
The pioneers meals are tough ecpessially for the women who cook it. The meals have bacteria and can get other pioneers sick because flys and other insects drop into the cooking pot.

River crossing
The pioneers had to find a place where they could cross the rivers that were shallow enough and didnt have a strong current. \

At the fort
Pioneers stop to eat, rest, wash clothes and buy stuff and other stuff. thsi is a place that all pioneers can rest all day.

Animals
The animals get tired and are hungrey. So the Pioneer have to make sure that the animals are well feed

The last lap
The last lap was the rockies which they had to make before october becasuse the snow would block them from going though them.

They finally arrived to their destination! After all that trouble it was worth it.
