Official records report that the total amount of land burned in the blaze reaches about 9,000,000 acres, and this is before the ordeal is even over. Land continued to burn, and surpassed any previous record. -
In The End
Oregon Department of Forestry declared the 2015 fire season officially over. The end result: millions of acres containing homes, businesses, and farms burned, as well as nearly 1.5 billion dollars spent among all affected states in effort to put the blaze out.
