Fire helped our brains grow because we could digest food easier. Since we could do this we could create better tools and weapons.

Cats helped with the mice problem because since people started storing grain mice came and the cats would help with this problem. Later hauling animals hike camels and ox became popular.

    The city of Jericho was founded 9,000 years ago. It has many natural rivers surrounding it. The built a big wall around the entire city and had everyone live inside it. The farmed and had animals on the outside. There was about 1,000 people in the city. It was one of the first major cities.

    When they started to farm they needed tools to help them with it, so they created the hoe. The hoe can help to weed fields. Dig holes for seeds, and could dig trenches for irrigation. In West Asia, Africa and Europe, people planted figs first, and then grains. Wheat, barley, millet, sorghum, oats and rye, and legumes like peas, lentils, and chickpeas. In South America, it was potatoes, corn, squash, sweet potatoes, beans, yuca root and peanuts.
