Great Britain decided to give some power back to the people of the Province of Quebec to ensure the french population’s loyalty to Great Britain then the Thirteen colonies. -

Great Britain decided to separate the colony in two part to satisfy the French and the Loyalists in Quebec. However, the governor still had the power and he was British. -

The Patriot spread their idea of more power in Lower Canada. The people decided to create rebellions to fight for more power over Lower Canada. -
92 Resolutions
The Parti Canadien was a party in the Legislative in Lower Canada. This party realized that they didn’t have much power over their part of the colony and wished to have more power so the Parti Canadien wrote 92 Resolutions. In the document, they critisized the division of authority in the colony and demanded a government that was responsible to the Legislative Assembly. -

The women gained some power because they were allowed to vote for a federal government. -

The unions lost their power because of the Padlock law because Duplessis didn’t believe in unions therefore making them illegal. -

The women gained some more power because they were now allowed to vote for the provincial government. -

The Governor enforced his power to the people by forcing them to fight in World War II. -
Nationalization of electricity
The private company have the most power in electricity and was then gone when the Government of Quebec bought most of them and shared the electricity with everyone. Also, the Aboriginals lost power over their rivers because the Government bought some of their lands in order to construct dams for electricity. -
October Crisis
The FLQ wanted Quebec to separate so badly that they tried to get power by kidnapping political leaders, however, Quebec is still not separated from Canada. -
Referendum on sovereignty-association
The French Canadians wanted full power over Quebec meaning law’s, form of government, etc. However, once the population did a vote the French Canadians who wanted to separate Quebec from Canada lost and the federal Government still had power of Quebec. -

Is a series of proposed amendments to the Constitution of Canada negotiated in 1987 by Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and the 10 provincial premiers. -
