First transatlantic flight by a woman
Amelia Earhart is the first woman to have completed a non-stop transatlantic flight in 1932. Later in 1937, she disappeared as she was toward Howland island. -
Fair Labor Standards Act
In 1938, the Fair Labor Standards Act is passed and it sets the first minimum wage of 0.25 cents per hour in the United States. -
