F-86 Sabre
obviously very similar to the MiG-15, the F-86 sabre was one of Americas first swept wing fighters and was one of the oly aircraft that could counter the Mig-15. it often had high-speed dogfights with the MiG-15s. it also saw service in the Korean War, and it is supersonic and it is rumored to have been the first jet to cross the sound barrier in a dive but it was not recorded, so it is not official. -
MiG-15
the MiG-15 was one of the most successful early swept-wing fighters and was widely exported and successful. it was one of the most mass produced fighters ever, with over 12,000 models built, and it was proven superior to other straitght wing aircraft at the time, such as the gloster meteor and the F-80. it proved its worthiness as a fighter in the Korean war. -

S-2 Tracker
the S-2 tracker was an Anti-submarine aircraft that still is a popular firefighting aircrat today -
F-100 super sabre
this jet fighter used extensive titanium and had a couple of serious problems. the first on is that the aircraft would suddenly yaw and roll over, putting to much stress on the frame, distenegrating it, and the second was that as the aircraft slowed down, it would develop insufficent lift and cause a voilent pitch-up and became known as the "sabre dance." -

Northrop YF-23
the YF-23 was a jet fighter entered into a contest against the F-22 raptor, but lost. it stealthier and faster, but was less agile, and it lost. i find it kind of strange that even after the F-22 program was cancelled they havent said anything about putting the F-23 into production. the jet in the background was called the "Black Widow II" and the one in the foreground is "grey ghost". -
