  • The Land of the Cyclopes

    The Land of the Cyclopes
    Odysseus takes some of his men ashore the land of the cyclopes to get food and supplies. They get trapped in the cave of a cyclops called Polyphemus. They learn that cyclopes are cannibalistic when Polyphemus eats Odysseus's men. Odysseus tricks Polyphemus by calling himself Nohbdy and stabbing Polyphemus's eye when he falls into a drunken slumber. When he cries out that Nohbdy tricked him his brothers leave him be and Odysseus and his men escape under the bellies of the cyclopes sheep.
  • Circe's Hall

    Circe's Hall
    Odysseus and his men land on the shores of Cirrc'es home, Aeaea. He sends a group of men to explore the island. They come upon Circe's hall and go inside. She serves them drinks and then uses her sorcery to change the men to pigs. She then puts them in a pig stye. One man who was suspious of Circe and stayed outside ran back to the ship and tells Odysseus that the witch Circe has bewitched the men. Odysseaus goes to Circe's hall and attempts to persuade her to let the men go.
  • Calypso's Island

    Calypso's Island
    Odysseus's men persuade him to stop at the island of the sun god, Helios. As Tiresias predicted they feast upon his herd of cattle and so are killed by the gods. Odysseus then sails on alone to Calypso's Island. Calypso keeps Odysseus with her on her island for seven years until Athena entervines and convinces Calypso to let Odysseus go home to his wife, Penelope. Calypso consents and even helps him on his way.
  • The Land of the Dead

    The Land of the Dead
    After one year, Circe has agreed to let Odysseus and his men go, but only if he travels to the land of the dead and hears a prophecy from Tiresias, the ghost of a blind prophet. Odysseus and the men that aren't with Circe go to the land of the dead and Odysseus sacrafices a goat for the prophet's spirit. Tiresias tells him that he will make it pass the Sirens, Scylla, and Charibdis. His men will all die when they feast on Helios's cattle. Odysseus will return home alone after twenty years.
  • The Sirens, Scylla, and Charibdis

    The Sirens, Scylla, and Charibdis
    Circe let's Odysseus and his men go with advice to pass the sirens and the sisters, Scylla and Charibdis. They set sail and Odysseus has his men tie him to the mast so he may listen to the Sirens song. After, he faces Scylla, the six headed and twelve legged monster on her cliff. Ignoring Circe's advice Odysseus tries to fight her. Then he and his men are nearly swallowed by Charibdis, the giant whirlpool. They manage to survive and continue on their journey.
  • Home at Last

    Home at Last
    After being away from his home for twenty years, Odysseus is back disguised as an old beggar. He finds his home full with one hundred suitors to his wife Penelope. He meets his son and convinces him of his identiy as his father. Telemachus and two servants help Odysseus fight the suitors and kill them after they don't believe that Odysseus is really alive. Athena then takes off his diguise and makes him taller and more handsome. Odysseus then talks to Penelope about his absence.
